The SDSU Symphony Orchestra's repertoire is representative
of many musical styles and historical periods. The program offerings are carefully
balanced to provide performers and audiences alike with a wide and varied selection
of musical works. Standard orchestral literature is also included in order
that
the students may build the performance and stylistic experience necessary to
pursue a career in music. Membership in the Symphony Orchestra is open to any
qualified musician. Both full and part-time students in all areas of study,
and interested members of the community encouraged to audition. Auditions are
held the first week of both the fall and spring semesters. Please contact our
office via phone or email for specific audition dates and procedures.
